PRACTICES AND OTHER INFORMATION

We have 5 Cheer Teams - Practice Times will be announced at later date

Stingers - Pre K & Kindergarten
- Practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursday Evenings for one hour.
- Practices will start at Bambrick park, the last week of July and then will move indoors as the season goes on to Lemont High School Field House.
- The Stingers will cheer for Flag Football (typically 4/5) Home Games (These games are on weekends)
- Home Games will be at Lemont High School
Super Lightweights - 1st & 2nd Grade
Lightweights - 3rd & 4th Grade
JV - 5th & 6th Grade
Varsity - 7th & 8th Grade

Super Lightweights / Lightweights / JV / Varsity Cheer Practice and Game information
- Practices will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays Nights. They begin the last weekend of July and go through out the season.
- At the start of the season Girls will be practicing at Bambrick Park (we are also looking into rotating indoors at Old Quarry again this season) as the season progresses we will move indoors at Lemont High School Field House.
- Girls will be Cheering for Home Games - If there team makes it to playoffs they will be cheering for the Playoffs and the SuperBowl if there team makes it. Home Games will be at Lemont High School and are typically on Sunday Mornings/early afternoon
  - 3 weekday 2 hour practices

  - High School Week long Stunt and Skill Camp
  - Outdoor & Indoor Practice Facility with Full Cheer Mats

    - SLW & LW - 3 Competitions
    - JV - 4 Competitions
    - Varsity - 4 Competitions & IRCA State if Qualified

We had 3 squads cheer on 3 Hornet Football Teams in- the Superbowl.
All squads earned a bid to 2014 IRCA State at one or more competition(s).
Varsity advanced to the second day at 2014 IRCA State Competition and took 3rd Place.
Varsity has earned a bid to IRCA State the last 8 years.
Varsity has made it to the 2nd day at IRCA State 3 times.
Varsity is a feeder program to Lemont High School Cheerleading (3 Time State Champs).
Lemont High School Cheer works closely with and mentor Lemont Hornets Cheer.

WEATHER

If inclement weather is looming check your coaches page(s) for any updates or cancelations.
If practice has NOT been canceled but weather looks sketchy, hang around practice for a bit after dropping off your child to be sure it will run as scheduled.
If poor weather conditions roll in AFTER drop off be accessible and/or head over to field. All children must be off the field if lightning strikes.

While tumbling is not considered mandatory for any Hornet participant, we do recommend tumbling to build and maintain skills.
